- The project "A methodology for
Collective Behaviour of Robots " supported by Swiss
National Research Foundation, is a collaboration between IDSIA
and LAMI. The IDSIA researchers currently involved in the project on collective
robotics are Aude Billard,
Auke Ian Ijspeert
and Luca Maria Gambardella. An
excellent contribution on collective adaptive behaviour has been given
by Cristina Versino in the
first two years of this collaboration.
- The project "Khepera Ants", supported by the EPFL-UNIL
Fund, is a collaboration between LAMI
and IZEA, the Zoology and Animal Ecology
Institute, Lausanne University, represented by Michael
Krieger and Laurent
Keller, two ant specialists.
- Our team benefits from close and fruitful exchanges with other groups
of the LAMI, such as the Mobile Robots Group,
the Robot Learning Group, and the Robot
Biovision Group.
- We are keeping excellent contacts with people who participate to ARG
meetings, with Deborah
Gordon (University of Stanford, US), Eric
Bonabeau (Santa Fe Institute, US), Jean-Louis
Deneubourg (ULB Bruxelles, Belgium), Guy
Theraulaz (CNRS, Toulouse, France), Daniel
Cherix (Zoology Museum of Lausanne), Gilles
Caprari (ASL-EPFL), Roland
Siegwart (ASL-EPFL), Maja
Mataric (USC, Los Angeles, US).
