Smile NG
Description
Smile NG was originally intended to be a CALM development environment for
the Win32 platform, although it has now been expanded to support just about any
assembler or C/C++ compiler.
Features
Smile NG currently offers these features:
- Supports LILA formating on screen and on paper. This greatly
eases readabilty of your source code.
- Automatically retrieves important lines of your code in a list
on the side of the main window, allowing fast access to lines with errors
or inserted files.
- Color syntax highlighting.
- Modular program structure, allowing for easy addition of download/programming
subsystems or new output file formats.
- Supports the execution of legacy MS-DOS programs during the download process,
allowing for backwards compatibility, for example with the Simprom EPROM simulator.
- Visual editing of download scripts. The internal commands now have
full dialog boxes for configuring all possible options. No more messy
scripts to modify, and no more command lines to write!
- Contains some editor features found only in the original Smaky Smile!
You can insert carriage returns into search strings, and the case changing function has also been
implemented. Keep F2 pressed, and move the cursor with shift for uppercase,
without for lowercase.
- Fully configurable editor - choose your favorite fonts and colors, individually configurable for
screen and printer.
- Can execute any compiler/assembler.
- New conversion filter for producing .PRO files.
Any comments and/or bug reports are welcome.
