The Koala robot is a platform for full-scale demonstrations. Software compatible with Khepera, it has been designed to be easy to use, easy to be transported and able to deal with a standard office environment as well as rough terrain.
A first application tested with this robot is the automatic vacuum cleaner. The Koala robot has been equipped with a real vacuum cleaner and an arm with two degrees of freedom. At the end of the arm, there is a tactile system, robust and efficient.

Click here to watch the video (1 Mbyte) where you can follow Koala Vacuum Cleaner detecting obstacles, classifying them, following a wall, mesasuring angles ... and, believe it or not, dealing with chairs
!This project has essentially been developed by Iwan Ulrich.
Many thanks to Iwan for this demo !
