in Virtual Reality!
Presentation
Virtual KhepOnTheWeb will allow you to drive a virtual mobile robot Khepera
in a virtual maze environment. The user interface is similar to that of
the real KhepOnTheWeb, but everything
is simulated on the local host via Java applets communicating with a VRML2
document. Hence, it is fast and it is a good exercice before pratice with
the real robot.
Supported plateforms
Since CosmoPlayer plugin for Netscape is currently only available for Windows95,
Windows NT and IRIX, Virtual KhepOnTheWeb will run only on these systems.
TroubleShooting
Windows95 and NT: If it doesn't work
because the vrml classes are not found (i.e., MFNode, etc.), try to reboot
your computer, so that the CLASSPATH is properly updated. If it still doesn't
work, you may move the C:\java\classes\vrml\vrml directory into
the C:\Program Files\Netscape\Navigator\Program\Java\classes\
directory.
SGI: Switch on the head light by
using the popup menu over the VRML scene. Don't forget to set the class
path by typing he following command:
> setenv CLASSPATH /usr/CosmoPlayer/classes
