Goals
Switzerland a long history in watch making. Microelectronics is bringing now the possibility to built very smart miniature devices. But they still need to sense the world, or act on it. We are very concerned with the potential of miniature devices for different applications. Many people are working now on MEMS, and there is a gap between the planar structures that can be built with LIGA or other MEMS structures, and traditional micromechanical and PC board assemblies. We try to master these devices, in the 1 cubic cm range, including the processor.
