Requirements

Looking at Figure 7, we would like to enhance the image such that relevant information becomes obvious. For instance any ground object scatters the radar waves, emitted by the GPR. The reflected signal has the shape of a hyperbolagif on the resulting image. We would like to see those hyperbolae in the image. Further, we would like to filter the strong black-white band, which appears in the upper region of the image, which results of the radar wave reflection on the air-ground interface. Ideally, the filtered image would contain no noise and only the diffraction hyperbolae of the buried objects.

Another requirement is an optimal representation of the image on the screen. The human observer should be presented a high contrast GPR picture, and other diagrams, making it easier to capture the relevant information.
