Conclusion

Many different methods were presented in this report. We see the following steps for a successful identification of a mine:

• First filtering and reduction of image dimension using a 2D Median filter
• Horizontal Line Removal
• Another pass with a 2D Median filter
• Computation of local image flow using a Gradient method or linear symmetry
• Neural Network identification of mine
