DeTeC  Demining Technology Center

• one former rice paddy composed of wet homogeneous silt with almost no grass, since it was inundated two weeks before the arrival
• a higher part with dry silt and already hard to prof
• a region around a tree with many stones, bricks and roots

• two deminers were doing the vegetation removal (on two parallel lanes)
• two deminers were doing the metal detection and prodding, indicating all the alarms with wooden triangles
• one deminer was responsible to scan the 'dangerous' areas with the GPR
• engineers were when requested to look at the preprocessed files, using the display capabilities of the prototype

 Collecting data on the field is a slow process !
