The goals of our group are, in a broad sense, image processing and autonomous robotics. More precisely, our interests are:
  • Exploring biological mechanisms inherently linked to vision in animals. In particular, we are interested in ocular movements (saccades, smooth pursuit, vestibular ocular reflex), theory of attention, stereoscopy and internal world representation.
  • Exploiting the previous mechanims to solve problems in autonomous mobile robotics. The main tasks to solve are, in first place, navigation in an unknown environment, and in second place, exploration and surveillance.
  • Developing a know-how in design and application of bio-inspired cameras and actuators.
